Last July 15, 2020, three days after the youth created a solidarity wall for ABS-CBN, two youngsters were victims of red-tagging and alleged state surveillance. One was libeled online by a suspected fake & troll Facebook profile that also red-tagged other students of the University of the Philippines-Visayas.

Meanwhile, on the same day, another youth activist’s relatives were visited by people claiming to be authorities who were looking for the youth for allegedly being a “PUI” (Person Under Investigation). This also comes one day after PNP Chief Gamboa and former general & DILG Secretary Eduardo Ano announced the “house-to-house” scheme to search for COVID-19 positive patients.
