The Diocese of Bacolod organized a diocese-wide simultaneous praying of the holy rosary last Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the same time the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines and rights groups held a rally in front of ABS-CBN, both activities expressing their dissent versus the Anti-Terror Law and the ABS-CBN Franchise Denial.

The activity held at the Bishop’s House was in response to a memo of Bishop Buzon’s “Call for Prayerful Vigilance on the Impending Impact of the Implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Law on Our People”. Last month, the Bishop of Bacolod and San Carlos themselves released a statement denouncing the Anti-Terror Law

After the rosary, the Bishop read the official statement of the Diocese of Bacolod condemning Congress’ denial of ABS-CBN’s franchise application.
