After being stranded for months in a holding area of Dumaguete City. 37 Badjaos were officially sent home to Mindanao via FastCat ferries with the joint effort of the local government unit of the Province of Negros Oriental and Sulu.

Along with the LSIs are children and senior citizens who underwent health protocols and secured medical certificates before departure.

The Badjaos will be disembarked in Dapitan City and will be brought to Zamboanga city on board with Philippine Army trucks before heading to Jolo, Sulu.
