Romeo Sublado on why his group started the initative of “Digicast Negros”

When asked upon the logistics & future of Digicast Negros, former ABS-CBN Bacolod Chief Mr. Sublado stated that it is all a volunteer-based initiative, and for now, they will focus on delivering news with the stories Negrosanons need to know especially in the midst of the international health crisis.

ABS-CBN Bacolod ceased operations last August 28, 2020, with all 81 employees being laid off. Furthermore, all ABS-CBN Regional stations throughout the country also closed down on the same day. The company retrenchment of the largest media network was a result of 70 congress people denying franchise renewal despite ABS-CBN having abided by all hearings and various government agencies clearing them of any alleged breach of law.
