On the morning of November 19 2020, two farmers, Joener C. Hermino and Glenn H. De Baguio were illegally arrested and filed with trumped up charges by authorities from the 94th Infantry Brigade in Sitio Basak, Brgy. Buenavista, Himamaylan City.

They were indicted for allegedly being armed with shotguns, a hand grenade, & assorted ammunitions; framed as supposed NPA rebels; and accused of extorting local residents.

Both are mere members of a farmer’s group Kilusang Mambubukid ng Pilipinas and currently detained at the Himamaylan City Police Station
